The PTA has organized extracurricular activities to support students' learning and development.
The Springwoods PTA offers a variety of after-school and before-school enrichment programs, such as Martial Arts, Chess Club, and LEGO Club. These programs are designed to provide engaging opportunities for students to learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with peers outside of the regular school day.
All programs are open to Springwoods Elementary students and homeschoolers. Programs are not open to students from other schools.
Programs are held immediately before or after school.
All programs take place on Springwoods Elementary premises.
Students attending before-school programs will be dismissed to breakfast or directly to class at 8:30 a.m.
Students attending after-school programs must be picked up promptly at 4:30 p.m. at Door 3 (near the cafeteria).
On program days, an afternoon announcement will be made directing students who are registered for that program to go to the designated meeting location (e.g., cafeteria or assigned classroom).
For before-school programs, students should be dropped off and check in through the front office or go directly to the designated program room at 7:45 a.m.
It is not the responsibility of teachers, PTA, or school staff to escort students to their programs.
Attendance is mandatory for all club meeting days. The only exception is if your student has an excused school absence for that day.
Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up their student(s) at the end of each session.
Only adults listed on the registration form may pick up students.
A picture ID must be shown at pick-up.
Students will not be escorted to vehicles.
Yes! Students are welcome to join multiple clubs or activities, but families must carefully review meeting dates and times before registering to avoid scheduling conflicts.
All programs are hosted by the Springwoods PTA, but some may be staffed by third-party providers (e.g., Life Champ Martial Arts). PTA volunteers also help supervise students and support smooth operations.
Registration fees vary by program and cover:
Supplies and materials
Staffing support (when applicable)
Insurance fees paid to providers
Refunds are available a week before program start date. Once the program has started, refunds will not be issued for missed classes, absences, scheduling conflicts, or withdrawals.
