The PTA has organized extracurricular activities to support students' learning and development.
Programs are held immediately BEFORE or AFTER school.
All programs are held on Springwoods Elementary premises.
Parents and guardians will be responsible for picking up student(s).
Only open to Springwoods Elementary students and homeschoolers.
Attendance is mandatory for all club meeting days. The only exception is if the student had an excused absence from school that day.
If you are participating in multiple clubs or activities, please verify meeting dates and times before registering.
Students must be picked up promptly at 4:30 p.m. by a parent or family member noted on the registration form. A picture ID must be shown at pick-up.
All clubs are hosted by the Springwood PTA but services may be staffed by 3-party providers. Registration fees will cover any supplies, staffing support and insurance fees paid by provider. NO REFUNDS.

The Springwoods Chess Club offers students the opportunity to learn and improve their chess skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Through guided instruction and play, students will strengthen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities. The Chess Club also helps foster patience, focus, and sportsmanship — valuable skills both in and outside of the classroom.
This program is designed for students of all skill levels, from beginners to those with prior experience. Whether your child is learning the basics or looking to sharpen their competitive edge, they will benefit from the challenge and fun of playing chess with their peers.
Grade Level: 2nd-5th
Program Days: Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 am starting in November
Program Fees: $20/8 sessions, financial assistance available to qualifying students

The Springwoods LEGO Club provides students with a creative, hands-on environment to explore problem-solving, teamwork, and imagination through LEGO building. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on projects, complete building challenges, and showcase their creations.
This club encourages students to think critically, practice patience, and strengthen fine motor skills, all while having fun and making friends. It is designed for builders of all levels, from beginners to experienced LEGO enthusiasts.
Grade Level: 1-5
Program Days: Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm
Program Fees: $50/6 weeks, financial assistance available to qualifying students

What is the Life Champ Martial Arts After School Program all about?
This unique course known as the After-School Character Enrichment Program is a multi-session character development program that incorporates physical exercise with life skill lessons. This innovative series of classes is designed to not only introduce your child to basic martial arts but to also improve concentration, listening skills, cooperation and courtesy. It will benefit your child at home, at school and in team sports. The black belt instructors from Life Champ Martial Arts have volunteered their time to teach the program at dozens of area schools during the past several years. At this point we are so proud to say there are literally thousands of Life Champ Martial Arts alumni.
How does it benefit My School?
The instructors and materials required to run the program will be donated by Life Champ Martial Arts as part of our commitment to helping local children in our community. One Hundred percent of the proceeds earned from this program will be donated directly to your school. This program is taught by certified Black Belt instructors from Life Champ Martial Arts. Our teams are experts at working with kids. They are patient, enthusiastic and know how to make learning fun.

Program Fees: $210/ Fall season, GOTR offers an adjusted program fees based on a sliding scale according to family income
Registration is now open for the Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole program at Springwoods Elementary School. By using a curriculum that creatively integrates physical activity with life lessons, Girls on the Run empowers kids to develop the confidence and character they need to become strong and healthy young adults.
