What We Do / Staff & Student Support / Events / Fundraising / Volunteering
Welcome New Families – Hosted kindergarten and new family events to help students and parents feel at home before the first day of school.
Build Community – Planned free family events including Trunk or Treat, Friendship Dance, and NestFest, bringing together more than 600 students and their families to celebrate and strengthen our school community.
Raise Funds That Stay at Springwoods – Successfully planned and operated our own Color Run, raising more than $40,000 to directly support students, teachers, and school programs.
Support Every Classroom – Created a Room Parent Program to ensure every teacher had a dedicated volunteer helping coordinate classroom activities, celebrations, and communication with families.
Expand Student Opportunities – Offered before- and after-school enrichment programs including LEGO Club, Chess Club, Girls on the Run, Basketball, and Flag Football, with more than 200 students participating throughout the year.
Invest in Learning Beyond the Classroom – Committed more than $12,000 to help every grade level experience educational field trips, including destinations such as Jamestown, Luray Caverns, and the LEGO Discovery Center.
Support Our Teachers – Continued classroom reimbursement grants, staff appreciation events throughout the year, and additional resources to help our teachers create exceptional learning experiences.
